Snowfall in the hilly areas of the country has increased the cold in the plains states. In Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, the mercury went below zero in many places while the cold of December has started showing color in the northern states. According to the Meteorological Department, the night temperature in North India may fall by 3-5 degree Celsius in the next two-three days.

देश के पहाड़ी इलाकों में बर्फबारी से मैदानी राज्यों में ठंड बढ़ गई है. जम्मू-कश्मीर और हिमाचल प्रदेश में कई स्थानों पर पारा शून्य के नीचे चला गया जबकि उत्तरी राज्यों में दिसंबर की ठंड ने रंग दिखाना शुरू कर दिया है. मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक अभी अगले दो-तीन दिनों में उत्तर भारत में रात के तापमान में 3-5 डिग्री सेल्सियस की गिरावट आ सकती है.
