The nurses' union of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, has gone on an indefinite strike. There is also a demand to accept the proposals of the Sixth Central Pay Commission. However, Dr. Randeep Guleria, director of AIIMS, has described it as unfortunate. He said that true nursing workers cannot go on strike in this period of epidemic. The nurses union should not go on an indefinite strike.

देश की राजधानी दिल्‍ली में स्थित अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान की नर्स यूनियन अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर चली गई हैं. इसमें छठे केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग के प्रस्तावों को मानने की भी मांग है. हालांकि एम्स के निदेशक डॉ. रणदीप गुलेरिया ने इसे दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताया है. उन्‍होंने कहा कि महामारी के इस दौर में सच्चे नर्सिंग कर्मचारी हड़ताल नहीं कर सकते. नर्स यूनियन को अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर नहीं जाना चाहिए.
