FDA Says Pfizer Coronavirus Vaccine Is Safe.

published its initial findings concerning
the vaccine in briefing documents on Tuesday.

Pfizer is seeking
emergency use approval
of its vaccine from the FDA.
Data from Pfizer shows a swift immune response
in patients to the vaccine following the first of two doses.
The data shows efficacy of the
vaccine against severe COVID-19 cases
to be 88 percent following the first dose, .
and then 95 percent
following the second.
The independent vaccine advisory committee
of the FDA is scheduled to meet on Thursday.
A decision regarding approval
of the Pfizer vaccine could follow
at any time following that meeting.
