Amid the ongoing border stand-off with China, the Indian Navy has deployed its Marine Commandos (MARCOS) in the Pangong Lake area in eastern Ladakh. The idea behind the deployment of the MARCOS in Eastern Ladakh, where Indian Air Force`s Garud operatives and Indian Army`s Para Special Forces have been there since day one of the conflicts, is to enhance the integration of the three services and provide the naval commandos exposure to extreme cold weather conditions.

भारत और चीन के बीच जारी सीमा गतिरोध के बीच पूर्वी लद्दाख में पैंगोंग झील के पास भारतीय नौसेना के मार्कोस कमांडो बल को तैनात कर दिया है। नौसेना के विशेष मरीन कमांडो बल को मार्कोस कहा जाता है। यहां गतिरोध के पहले दिन से ही भारतीय वायुसेना के गरुड़ और भारतीय सेना के पैरा स्पेशल फोर्स के कमांडो डटे हुए हैं। नौसेना के मरीन कमांडो को संक्षिप्त में मार्कोस कहा जाता है। पूर्वी लद्दाख में पैंगोंग झील का खासा हिस्सा चीन के पास है।
