South Korea plans to offer 'flights to nowhere' for a twelve month period to revive the aviation industry and restore consumer confidence.
In a meeting Thursday with related ministers, finance minister Hong Nam-ki said the flights will run under strict quarantine measures.
Travelers will be exempt from taking COVID-19 tests and can enjoy duty free allowances of up to 600 U.S. dollars.
Six local airlines, including Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, will take part in such tour services.
