The festival of worshiping Goddess Lakshmi starts from the wealth of Trayodashi of Kartik month to Amavasya. People of Dhanteras and Diwali prepare for months in advance. On this day, cleaning, going to lamps and shopping of utensils are done. On the day of Dhanteras where Kubera, Dhanvantari and Yamdeep, the god of wealth, are worshiped. On the day of Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped with Ganesha, the same Riddhi, Siddhi is also worshiped.

कार्तिक मास की धन त्रयोदशी से लेकर अमावस्या तक मां लक्ष्मी की पूजा का पर्व शुरू हो जाता है। धनतेरस और दिवाली के लोग महीनों पहले से तैयारी करते हैं। इस दिन साफ-सफाई, दीपक जाने और बर्तनों की खरीददारी की जाती है। धनतेरस पर जहां धन के देवता कुबेर, धनवंतरी और यमदीप दाम किया जाता है।दिवाली क दिन मां लक्ष्मी की पूजा गणेश जी के साथ होती है, वही रिद्धि, सिद्धि की भी पूजा अर्चना की जाती है।
