미 대선 '0.3%p 차' 최대 경합주 조지아 결국 재검표
More than a week has passed since polls closed for the U.S. presidential election on November 3rd.
And Georgia will conduct a recount of all paper ballots.
The state allows a recount if the margin of victory falls within point-five percentage points.
It aims to finish the process by November 20th.
"That's why mathematically, you actually have to do a full, hand by hand recount of all because the margin is so close. Right now, it's 14,101. At the end of the day, when we do a hand count then we can answer the question exactly what was the final margin in this race."
The announcement comes amid growing pressure from the Trump campaign and accusations of mismanagement of the election process.
President-elect Joe Biden is currently ahead of President Trump in Georgia... who already has the 270 electoral votes to win.
