The BJP has performed well in the assembly by-elections in Madhya Pradesh. BJP has won 19 out of 28 seats. However, Imrati Devi, a minister and BJP candidate in the Shivraj government, has lost the by-election to her own relative Suresh Raje. Imrati Devi Dabra was contesting the by-election from the Vidhan Sabha seat and was the most discussed seat in Madhya Pradesh. Suresh Raje of Congress is the only one to defeat Emrati.

मध्य प्रदेश में विधानसभा उपचुनाव में बीजेपी ने अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया है. बीजेपी ने 28 सीटों में से 19 सीटों पर जीत दर्ज की है. हालांकि शिवराज सरकार में मंत्री और बीजेपी उम्‍मीदवार इमरती देवी, अपने ही रिश्‍तेदार सुरेश राजे से उप चुनाव हार गई हैं. इमरती देवी डबरा व‍िधानसभा सीट से उप चुनाव लड़ रही थी और ये मध्‍य प्रदेश की सबसे चर्चित सीट रही. इमरती को हराने वाले उनके ही समधी कांग्रेस के सुरेश राजे हैं.
