In Vienna, people pay their respects to the victims of a rampage on the evening of 2 October through central Vienna by a lone gunman and later claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group, laying flowers and lighting candles at the scene. A neighbour describes the assailant, named as 20-year-old dual Austrian-Macedonian national Kujtim Fejzulai who had been convicted and sentenced to prison in April last year for trying to travel to Syria and join IS, as "inconspicuous".
