Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Janamashtami is celebrated every year on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada. This year, according to the Gregorian calendar, the festival will be celebrated on 11-12 August i.e. for two days .As per astrologers, Janmashtami Shubh Muhurat will be on August 12. On August 12, the auspicious time of worship will start from 12: 5 minutes to 12: 47 minutes. The duration of the puja will last for 43 minutes. Goa Disaster Management Authority (GDMA) has issued guidelines to be followed during Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in view of coronavirus outbreak. The guidelines for celebrations of Janmashtami states that there shall be no 'Dahi Handi' celebration throughout the district.
