문 대통령 "경제 모범국가 만들 것...제조업 강화"
South Korea's economy is showing signs of recovery and the government will do its best to make the country a model for post-pandemic economic recovery.
That's President Moon Jae-in today as he attributed the recovery to strong manufacturing as evidenced by a 1-point-9 percent on-quarter GDP growth in the third quarter of this year.
If the economic recovery trend continues in the fourth quarter, we will be able to overcome the shock from the coronavirus from the first half of next year and enter a normal growth trajectory.
Although the president vowed to continue supporting businesses and reforming the manufacturing sector through the Korean New Deal initiative, he cautioned against letting guards down too soon as South Korea continues to see sporadic cases of Covid-19.
