Dr. Ruth Katherina Martha Pfau was born on 9 September 1929 in Germany. She moved to her homeland Pakistan and devoted 55 years in fighting against leprosy disease, spread in Africa and Asia. She established almost 157 leprosy clinics in Pakistan and was known as Mother Teresa of Pakistan for her social services. She died on 10 August 2017 due to serious illness in Agha Khan University Hospital. She wished to build a museum in her life for the public of Pakistan. After her death, people associated with her turned Dr. Ruth Pfau home to an elegant museum in Karachi. Find more details in the video.
