Heavy rain lashed Chennai city and other coastal regions few days before. As we all remember Chennai floods 2015 which had created a huge impact and made many people homeless for many days. Except central Chennai, North Chennai like Thiruvottiyur and south Chennai like Tambaram, Mudichur and places nearby facing the same issue still now(Water logging on streets and houses). Chennai rain 2017 seems to be same like the flood happened in 2015. Weather reports says Chennai and other places in Tamilnadu will receive heavy rainfall for another 2 days. True reason behind the floods and water logging are not due to heavy rains, its all because of the rivers and ponds which turned as big apartments and houses by the land grabbers and government. Ministers and Politicians fight for their seats rather finding solution to save rains waters.Government still not made any arrangements to face the monsoon rains for this year, after chennai rains and flood 2015. We need to love the rains, which helps us to boost the ground water level and fills the damns and reservoirs. Rain and floods has tought many lessons for us. We need to prepare ourself, instead depending fully on the government. Sellur Raju minster who made thermocol to float on carvery river to stop water getting evaporated and other minsters actions as well.
