The festival of Navratri is celebrated for 9 days. Different incarnations of Maa Durga are worshiped every day in Navratri. Worship of Kushmanda Devi is done on the fourth day of Navratri. The fourth day of Navratri is dedicated to Mata Kushmanda.According to mythological beliefs, worshiping mother Kushmanda increases age, fame, strength and health. Worshiping Maa Kushmanda with the law provides desired results. It is believed that mother Kushmanda liberates the world from many troubles and crises. It is a tradition to worship with red colored flowers on this day, because mother Kushmanda is said to be more beloved of red flowers. After worshiping the mother Kushmanda methodically, Aarti of Durga Chalisa and Mother Durga must be done.

पंचांग के अनुसार 20 अक्टूबर 2020 को आश्विन मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि है. नवरात्रि का यह चौथा दिन है. नवरात्रि के चौथे दिन कुष्मांडा देवी की पूजा की जाती है. आइए आचार्य अजय द्विवेदी जी से जानते हैं मां कुष्मांडा देवी की पूजा विधि और कथा के बारे में.पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार मां कुष्मांडा की पूजा करने से आयु, यश, बल और स्वास्थ्य में वृद्धि होती है. मां कुष्मांडा की विधि विधान से पूजा करने से मनोवांछित फल प्राप्त होते हैं. मान्यता है कि मां कुष्मांडा संसार को अनेक कष्टों और संकटों से मुक्ति दिलाती हैं. इस दिन लाल रंग के फूलों से पूजा करने की परंपरा है,क्योंकि मां कुष्मांडा को लाल रंग के फूल अधिक प्रिय बताए गए हैं. मां कुष्मांडा की पूजा विधि पूर्वक करने के बाद दुर्गा चालीसा और मां दुर्गा की आरती जरूर करनी चाहिए.
