The governments of Assam and Mizoram dialled the centre on Sunday to discuss the situation at the states' border after a violent clash in which several people were injured. The situation is now under control in the area, which is in Kolasib district of Mizoram and Cachar district of Assam, both sides said.

असम-मिजोरम बॉर्डर पर दो गुटों में हिंसक झड़प हुई है. जिसके कारण दोनों राज्यों की सीमा पर माहौल तनावपूर्ण है. इस हिंसक झड़प में कई लोग घायल हो गए हैं. असम के मुख्यमंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल ने रविवार रात को असम-मिजोरम बॉर्डर की स्थिति की रिपोर्ट प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय और केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय को दी है. इसके साथ ही सोनोवाल ने मिजोरम के सीएम जोरामथांगा से भी बात की है. वहीं, पुलिस और स्थानीय प्रशासन का कहना है कि स्थिति नियंत्रण में है
