Ballia Murder Case: UP CM order suspension of CO-SDM

A 46-year-old man was killed in firing on Thursday over a dispute at a meeting for selection of ration shops in Durjanpur village in Reoti area of Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. According to news agency PTI, he was killed when one Dhirendra Prajapat Singh opened fire after a meeting called at Panchayat Bhawan for selection of ration shops was cancelled by the sub-divisional magistrate. According to the police sources, the circle officer has been suspended over the escape of Dhirendra Singh from police custody despite his arrest following the shooting.
