The Central Crime Branch (CCB) which is probing the August 11 violence in parts of Bengaluru in Karnataka over an alleged inflammatory social media post, has filed a preliminary chargesheet in the case in a local court. In the chargesheet, it has named former Congress mayor R Sampath Raj as an accused in the DJ Halli violence. Sources told India Today TV that the Sampath contacted SDPI leader.
