The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday requested the Supreme Court t to monitor the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged gangrape and death of a 19-year-old Dalit woman in Hathras district. The state government also said that it is "committed to provide complete security to victims' family and witnesses". The investigation agency on Tuesday began probe into the Hathras case.
