교도통신 "日, 韓에 징용 관련 조치 없으면 스가 방한 불가 입장 전달"
Japanese media says a trilateral summit between Seoul, Beijing and Tokyo is not likely to be held this year due to Japan's conflict with South Korea over compensation for wartime forced labor.
Citing diplomatic sources, Kyodo News said Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga will not be attending the summit without progress in solving the feud.
It added Japan told South Korea last month that it would be impossible for Suga to make his trip unless "proper measures" are taken regarding the issue.
The annual summit is to be held in Seoul this year,... but sources say it could be cancelled if Japan decides not to attend.
