Theme: Education in the New Normal: Leaving no one behind through EdTech
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic developments, many educational institutions around the world saw an unprecedented transformation in the way of delivering courses, interacting amongst staff, and conducting events such as graduation ceremonies online among others.
With current preventive health measures in place that only allow few in-person group meetings, Educational institutions providing primary, secondary, tertiary studies are strategizing on new approaches in order to implement blended forms of teaching mechanisms. With little to no preparation into the New Normal, universities and Higher Education Program providers find themselves catapulted into the much-debated 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR).
A number of questions arise while looking into the current and upcoming academic years: Are staff, students, parents, and Leaders of Educational Institutions comfortable with the New Normal? How can we accelerate a smooth transition into the New Normal? Is reform in the curricula needed in order to adjust to current and future demands in the post-COVID-19 and 4IR era?
To help us address some of these critical issues and highlight the need for transformation through Education Technology (EdTech), we’re inviting seasoned professionals in the Education space in Rwanda and internationally to join us to the upcoming Leaders Roundtable.
