Breast milk is common during pregnancy and delivery, but it is a matter of concern when it is without pregnancy and delivery, about 20-25% of women have problems in which most of the problem is only after menopause. Although this is not a disease, it can be a sign of a problem. Not only women but also men and newborns can have this problem. In the medical language, this problem is called Galactorrhea.

प्रैग्नेंसी और डिलीवरी के दौरान स्तन से दूध निकलना सामान्य बात है लेकिन चिंता की बात तो तब हो जाती है जब यह बिना प्रेग्नेंसी और डिलीवरी के हो, लगभग 20-25% महिलाओं को यह परेशानी होती है जिसमें ज्यादातर समस्या मेनोपॉज के बाद ही होती है।हालांकि ऐसा होना कोई बीमारी नहीं है लेकिन यह किसी समस्या के संकेत जरुर हो सकते हैं। सिर्फ महिलाएं ही नहीं बल्कि पुरुष व नवजात शिशु को भी यह समस्या हो सकती है। डॉक्टरी भाषा में इस समस्या को गेलेक्टोरिआ कहते हैं।
