세계 동물의 날 맞아 필리핀 '드라이브 스루' 반려동물 세례식 진행
Animal lovers in Manila, Philippines had their pets blessed in an unusual drive-through ceremony on Sunday, to mark World Animal Day.
The international day of action for animal rights and welfare, is celebrated every year on October 4th.
But this year's ceremony was quite different, as it took the form of a drive-through, to ensure social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
All types of pets including cats, dogs, and birds patiently waited inside their owners' cars, as they were sprinkled with holy water by a Catholic priest.
The owners and their furry friends had to wait in a long line of vehicles for their turn, but all welcomed the precautionary measures, recognizing the importance of safety.
