The withdrawal line of the Southwest Monsoon passes from Latitude 28N/Longitude 82E, across central Uttar Pradesh, northwestern Madhya Pradesh, southern Rajasthan, and into Latitude 25N/Longitude 70E. Further withdrawal is expected from entire Rajasthan, some more parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, and some parts of Gujarat. A low pressure area and its related Cyclonic Circulation remains located over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast, bringing widespread rain across Eastern and Northeastern India with isolated heavy falls in Arunachal Pradesh.

मौसम में तेजी से बदलाव नजर आने लगा है। सितंबर का महीना बीत चुका है और अक्‍टूबर की शुरुआत हो चुकी है। मौसम ने अचानक से करवट ली है। बंगाल की खाड़ी पर एक नया निम्न दाब का क्षेत्र बनने की वजह से 9 अक्टूबर तक ओडिशा और आंध्र प्रदेश में भारी बारिश होने की चेतावनी जारी की गई वहीं कई राज्यों में 3 से 4 दिनों तक भारी बारिश के आसार है। अगले 24 घंटे में भी ओडिशा और आंध्र के तटीय भागों में बारिश हो सकती है। मौसम विभाग ने अपने ताजा अपडेट की माने तो मॉनसून जाते जाते कई राज्यों में तबाही मचा कर जा सकता है।
