Cedric Maxwell hosted former Hornets/Pelicans broadcaster Gil McGregor for a discussion on racism in America and their experience facing institutional segregation in the Jim Crow south. Maxwell told the story of Atlantic Beach in South Carolina, which separated the Black from white beach with a fence into the ocean. McGregor shared the linguistic tools that have constructed American racism and seeing the KKK signs the were only taken down several decades ago in certain parts of the US.
