IMF "세계경제 6월 전망보다는 덜 심각…신흥시장 여전히 위태"
A top International Monetary Fund official says, the global economic outlook is not as severe as projected back in June,... raising the possibility of an upward revision.
The IMF spokesperson Gerry Rice said recent incoming economic data from China and other advanced economies turned out to be better than anticipated in the second quarter with parts of the global economy starting to turn the corner.
He also mentioned signs of the gradual recovery of global trade after widespread lockdowns in a bid to curb the spread of the virus.
But he emphasized that we are not out of the woods as the outlook remains precarious particularly for many emerging markets and developing countries other than China.
