Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has been inaugurated in an unannounced ceremony that was not broadcast on television or radio.

Footage filmed on September 23 shows what is believed to be Lukashenko's motorcade driving through the capital. Further footage shows a traffic jam after streets were reportedly sealed off.

According to reports, several hundred were in attendance including senior officials and members of parliament.
