More than 1,600 Indian companies have received foreign direct investments worth USD 1 billion from China during the April 2016 to March 2020 period, according to government data. The data was provided in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday to a question on whether it is a fact that large scale investments have been made by Chinese agencies in Indian companies, specially the start-ups.

देश की 1,600 से अधिक कंपनियों में चीन के 7500 करोड़ रुपए से अधिक का निवेश हैं. चीन ने ये निवेश अप्रैल 2016 से मार्च 2020 के दौरान किया है. ये जानकारी मंगलवार को राज्यसभा में एक प्रश्न के जवाब में वित्त राज्यमंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर ने दिया।सरकार से प्रश्न किया गया था कि क्या ये तथ्य है कि भारतीय कंपनियों, विशेष रूप से स्टार्ट-अप में चीनी एजेंसियों द्वारा बड़े पैमाने पर निवेश किया गया है।
