Members of the Syrian civil defence, also known as the "White Helmets", douse forest fires raging in the town of Jisr al-Shughur, in the west of the mostly rebel-held Syrian province of Idlib. Summer fires, sometimes sparked by accident and generally not linked to the war, are common in Syria, but residents have said this year's are worse than usual.
