Worship of Vishnu on Ekadashi is fruitful, but the importance of this Ekadashi increases further by coming to Shraddha Paksha. Jyotishacharya Pandit Somesh Parsai says that Indira Ekadashi has been said to keep a fast, observe virtue and worship Vishnu with a sincere heart.

एकादशी पर विष्णुजी की पूजा फलदायी होती है पर श्राद्ध पक्ष में आने से इस एकादशी का महत्व और भी बढ जाता है। ज्योतिषाचार्य पंडित सोमेश परसाई बताते हैं कि इंदिरा एकादशी पर व्रत रखने, सदाचार का पालन करने और सच्चे मन से विष्णुजी की पूजा करने की बात कही गई है।
