'다시 고삐 조이는 영국'…내주부터 6명 이상 모임 금지
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday announced new restrictions on social gatherings... the so-called "rule of six".
"In England, from Monday, we're introducing the rule of 6. You must not meet socially in groups of more than six, and if you do, you will be breaking the law."
The restrictions come as England combats a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases. Gatherings will be restricted to a maximum of six people, whether indoors or outdoors.
But the new rules will not apply to workplaces or schools, as well as weddings and funerals.
The Prime Minister stressed that strengthened rules were "not another national lockdown", but measures to avoid a second lockdown.
He also outlined future plans for carrying out mass testing that delivers fast results, using new types of test kit.
