The Patt mela was celebrated to commemorate the historic meet between Emperor Akbar and Raja Nagpal of Bhaderwah in 16th century at Delhi. Thousands of people drawn from different parts of the State participated in it. The mela devoted to Lord Vasuki Naag, the presiding deity of Bhaderwah valley, is being celebrated on Nag Panchmi every year. The mela is being organized on the conclusion of the Kailash Yatra and people with out any caste, color and creed participate and witness the Mela.

जम्मू-कश्मीर के भद्रवाह क्षेत्र में हर साल मेला "पट्ट' आयोजित किया जाता है। एक तरफ भीषण आतंकवाद से जूझता जम्मू-कश्मीर दूसरी तरफ पट्ट मेले के उत्सवी फुहारों से रोमांचित होता पूरे जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य का मानस। भद्रवाह में लगने वाले इस पट्ट मेले में हर साल लगभग 15,000 लोग आते हैं। इसमें न सिर्फ स्थानीय लोग शामिल होते हैं बल्कि हिमाचल प्रदेश, चम्बा, किश्तवाड़, रामबन, डोडा, उधमपुर, जम्मू जैसी जगहों के लोग भी इस मेले का आनंद उठाने के लिए पहुंचते हैं।
