Elections will be held in four phases for sarpanches and panches of 35968 wards in about 3848 gram panchayats of various panchayat samitis in 27 districts of Rajasthan. The State Election Commission has released its program on Monday. Elections have been held in selected gram panchayats in the first few districts in the last January and March. Where elections were not held, elections will now be held. For this, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force.

राजस्थान के 27 जिलों की विभिन्न पंचायत समितियों की करीब 3848 ग्राम पंचायतों में सरपंच और 35968 वार्डों के पंचों के लिए चार चरणों में चुनाव होंगे। राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग ने सोमवार को इसका कार्यक्रम जारी कर दिया है। पहले कुछ जिलों की चुनिंदा ग्राम पंचायतों में गत जनवरी और मार्च माह में चुनाव कराए जा चुके हैं। जहां चुनाव नहीं हुए वहां अब चुनाव कराए जाएंगे। इसके लिए आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू हो गई है।
