Deputy Communication and Multimedia Minister Zahidi Zainul Abidin's false remarks about Universiti Malaysia Sabah student Veveonah Mosibin had subjected the 18-year-old to negative comments on social media.

Taking to Facebook last night, Veveonah said she was "sad and disappointed" with what transpired.

She was responding to Zahidi's apology for falsely claiming in the Dewan Negara that Veveonah had not sat for examinations during the time she filmed herself accessing the Internet on a treetop platform in June.
