Amid a row over whether India’s gross domestic product (GDP) contracted the most among major economies in the June quarter, International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief economist Gita Gopinath on Wednesday tweeted a graph which showed India’s internationally comparable quarter-on-quarter GDP shrank the most among G20 countries at 25.6%.

सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म ट्विटर पर गीता गोपीनाथ ने ट्वीट कर कहा कि इस मौजूदा वित्त वर्ष की दूसरी तिमाही में भी G-20 देशों की अर्थव्यवस्था पर कोरोना का असर पडा है। G-20 देशों की इकनॉमी की ग्रोथ निगेटिव जोन में बनी रह सकती है। इस समूह में भारत की GDP 25.6 प्रतिशत तक निगेटिव रहने की आशंका है। गीता ने लिखा है कि ये आंकड़े तिमाही दर तिमाही आधार के हैं, इनकी तुलना किसी साल से नहीं की जानी है।
