In a major move, the Ministry of Information and Technology has banned PUBG Mobile and 118 other mobile applications. This is the third banwave that has hit the app industry after the government made similar moves in the past. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has taken the decision after receiving many complaints from various sources including several reports about misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data.
