Villagers in southern China were poisoned after eating the durian fruit that they collected from the sea.

The video, filmed in the city of Fangchenggang in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on August 26, shows local villagers picking up the durian fruit from a sea after a transport boat tipped over.

In another clip, villagers who had food poisoning after consuming the durian fruit went to the hospital.

The local authority has ordered the villagers to stop eating the durian fruit and dispose them.
