A teacher was shocked after finding four green snakes nesting in her desk.
The teacher noticed one of the green tails poking out from a bookshelf in the classroom in Kamphaeng Phet, Thailand.
She screamed and evacuated the primary school students from the classroom before calling the emergency services.
The teacher said: "I was teaching in front of the class when I saw something moving on my left. I took a closer look and found one snake curled up under the books."
The animal rescuers arrived to track the snakes that nested on the teacher's area on the corner of the classroom.
They found a family of four green snakes hiding in the book shelf and the teacher's desk that was only a few meters away from the student's table.
Although the snakes found were nonvenomous, their fangs could still inflict wounds from biting which is threatening to children and the teacher.
The four snakes were put in a sack by the rescuers before they were taken to the wild for release.
