As South Korea fights a emerging second wave of COVID-19, the government has expanded the stricter social distancing guidelines Level Two from the Seoul area to the rest of the country, effective today.
Those measures were first put in place this past week on a limited basis, but they've been expanded because of rapidly spreading cluster infections in all majors cities and provinces.
These are mostly linked to the Sarang Jeil Church in northern Seoul and an political rally held in downtown Seoul last weekend.
As of Sunday morning, there were 3-hundred-97 new confirmed cases.
This brings to the total caseload to 17-thousand 3-hundred-99.
No additional deaths were reported, so the death toll remains at 309.
