The Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel on Monday airlifted a man who was stranded at Khutaghat dam in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district due to the heavy flow of water. A video showing an IAF chopper airlifting the man from amidst the torrential flow of Khutaghat dam water has been shared on Twitter. The IAF had deployed a Mi-17 helicopter to carry out the rescue operation in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. According to the Bilaspur police, the stranded man sat on a rock holding onto a tree while the state officials tried to rescue him. As several attempts to rescue the man failed, the Indian Air Force was requested to carry out a rescue operation.
