The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) is in the process of fine-tuning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enable congregational prayers in mosques soon, said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Prime Minister said that in a special address aired over national television, adding that once finalised, the SOPs would be presented to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Malay rulers for their consent before the government makes an announcement on allowing congregational prayers at mosques.
