Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte asked a woman to kiss him on the lips in exchange for a book during an official visit to South Korea, stirring a controversy.
In a later interview, the woman identified as Bea Kim said the kiss did not mean anything to her and there was no malice.
But critics say even if the kiss was consensual- it was a grave abuse of authority.. especially since Duterte has a history of making sexist remarks--including numerous jokes about rape.
