Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi asserted that the party did not have billions of ringgit of assets as assumed by certain quarters. He added that the Umno supreme council had given him the mandate to appoint Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to reinstate Umno's properties and carry out legal action against trustees who refused to return the party's assets.
