Deputy Minister In the Prime Minister's Department Mohamed Hanipa Maidin suffered from a fainting spell while attending the department 's monthly gathering on Monday.

This caused him to fall from the temporary stage while Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was addressing the crowd.

A doctor on standby provided Hanipa with medical attention before he was taken by ambulance for further medical treatment.
