Many Barisan Nasional and PAS MPs walked out of Dewan Rakyat on the first day of proceedings on Monday as they were unhappy with the nomination process of the Dewan Rakyat Speaker. They claim that the ruling Pakatan Harapan coalition did not send in its nominee for the Speaker post 14 days before the proceedings.
