Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad defended his former deputy Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who had reported RM5.7 billion in forex losses as per BNM's final audited report to the Cabinet in 1993 while testifying before the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Thursday. RCI chairman Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan had insisted that Anwar did not declare the actual losses incurred then.
