The Umno supreme council on Friday unanimously sacked deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir for violation of the party regulations, largely due to their role in cooperating with the Opposition to unseat the Prime Minister in what they call an undemocratic manner. The council also suspended vice-president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal pending report from the party's disciplinary committee.
