Tools: Ruler or tape measure, shears, sewing machine or needle and thread if altering the fit (optional: french curve, fabric markers or pencils, tailors chalk).
1: Mark where you're cutting the shirt for size and the arm hole (use the french curve optionally).
2: Cut, but leave seam allowance.
3: Sew the side seams using a zig-zag stitch or serger.
