France is sending equipment and technical advisers to the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius after its prime minister appealed for urgent assistance to contain a worsening oil spill there. The authorities have declared a state of environmental emergency - after a Japanese tanker ran aground two weeks ago. The BBC's Tim Allman reports.
