Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz revealed that former Attorney-General Tommy Thomas had actually suggested on ways to settle with US investment bank Goldman Sachs outside the court over the fraudulent bonds during the 1MDB scandal.

Zafrul was responding to a question in the Dewan Rakyat about remarks by Thomas on the US$3.9bil settlement between Goldman Sachs and the Malaysian government.
