In estimates released today by the Louisiana Workforce Commission, the state's work force of 1.95 million people gained about 6,000 jobs over October, with Baton Rouge gaining about 800 jobs.
Adjusted for seasonal factors, the commission estimated the real job gain at about 1,700 jobs.
The state’s November unemployment rate of 5.3 percent compared to a national rate of 6.7 percent, the commission also said.
